Edward H. Carviou, 80, lifelong Porterfield resident, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Luther Home surrounded by his family, after a long-fought battle with Parkinson's Disease.

He was born March 25, 1945 in Marinette to Lester and Dorothy (Schultz) Carviou and graduated from Marinette High School with the Class of 1963. Ed married the former Linda S. Peterson on February 27, 1965 and celebrated 60 years of life together this year. Coming from a family devoted to farming, Ed and Linda purchased their own farm in April, 1980 and farmed it for 28 years before retiring and selling it to their son Jayme and his wife Sara. Ed continued to help on the farm for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; their children, Christine (Sid) Beaudo, John (Bobbi Jo) Carviou and Jayme (Sara) Carviou; 7 grandchildren, Dustin, Dylan (Cecilie), Joelle (Patrick), Alyssa (fiancé, Ben), Kimberly, Kennedy and Claire; 1 great-grandson, Christian; and is further survived by a brother and sisters, Jim (Gladys) Carviou, Sally (Jack) Biehl, Rosie Carviou, Linda Bayerl, Mary (Rich) Carviou and Margie Turner; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law Carl E Peterson; mother-in-law Sue M Peterson; and brother-in-law James Bayerl.

It was Ed's wish that no formal service be held.

Linda and family extend a special thank you to the staff and nurses of Luther Home Section D and Moments Hospice for their care and kindness during Ed's illness.
