Eric C. Janssen, 59, of Marinette, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay. He was born December 5, 1965, in Green Bay, to Paul and Marilyn (Huerth) Janssen.

Eric dedicated more than three decades of his life to his career at Wisconsin Public Service, where he worked as a Power Systems Control Technician since 1992.

Eric was a loyal and active member of the M&M Amateur Radio Club, proudly operating under the call sign KG9GH. He was also deeply committed to his community and was a longtime supporter of the DAR Boys & Girls Club and the Boy Scouts of America. His passion for technology and weather led him to climb and maintain tall radio towers and volunteer as a storm spotter for the National Weather Service.

He will be remembered as a man of intelligence, curiosity, and kindness. Eric had a sharp mind and a generous heart, always eager to share his knowledge and lend a helping hand to others. He took great pride in his work and found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. Eric loved his family deeply and was immensely proud of their lives and accomplishments.

Eric was cherished by many and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Eric is survived by his wife Cheryl Janssen; children: Bobbi (Aaron) Hubert, Andrew (Michelle) Janssen, Dawn (Nathanael) Edlbeck; grandchildren: Riley Hubert, Parker Hubert, Charlie Janssen, Wyatt Janssen, Levi Edlbeck, Lucille Edlbeck, Elizabeth Edlbeck and Eleanor Edlbeck; parents: Marilyn Janssen and Paul (Aurelia) Janssen; siblings: Amy (Travis) Jacquet and Chad (Kris) Janssen; niece and nephew: Josh (Kerry) Jacquet and Samantha (Peter) Covach; along with many other loving relatives.

Visitation will be held at New Life Church on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 1 until 2 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m., with a light reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the DAR Boys and Girls Club.
