Edward “Eddie” Cedeno of Ellenville, NY lost his long-time battle to diabetes and kidney failure on November 17, 2022. He was 57 years young. Eddie was born on December 20, 1965 in Brooklyn NY; he was the son of late Jose Manuel Cedeño Sr. and the late Digna Jean Cepeda Cedeño.
To know Eddie was to love him. He had a sweet soul and would give his last to anyone who needed it. His witty jokes could fill a room with laughter and bring you to tears. His love of music filled his car speakers and with that love of music he would sing his heart out as if no one was watching. Before his disability Eddie worked at the Granite Hotel as a waiter, then the Conquistador Hotel in Puerto Rico as a maître d and lastly NY Life as a travel director.
Eddie loved traveling, taking long rides, good food, comic books and was an avid movie lover. Most importantly of all he loved his family. He leaves a family that truly loves him and will miss him immensely.
Eddie leaves behind siblings, Sylvia Morse, Jose Cedeno and wife Alba, Joyce Correa and husband Paulo; nieces, Jennifer Correa Henry and husband Richard, Jaclyn Martinez Miles and husband Charles; nephew, Robbie Morse and wife Kaitlyn; life-long best friend, Gerardo “Jerry” Ramos; god- daughter, Simara Ramos; aunts Dalia Medina and Arcadia Villanova; cousins, Ronnie Villanova and Linda Quick. The greatest heartache of all our Uncle Eddie leaves behind his great nephews and nieces that he loved so dearly and would give the world to. “My boys” as he would refer to Jack and Matthew Henry. Gabriela, Aviyanna, Charleigh and Jaczyn Martínez-Miles, Johanna, Ella, R.J., Zack, Noah, and Riley Morse. Thank you for your love.
May you rise up with the sun and set with the moon. As for every star that shines it will forever be you. -J.mar
