Janice M. Zeider, a beloved lifelong resident of Ellenville, New York, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, at Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston, NY. She was 92. Born on February 24, 1933, in Ellenville, She was the daughter of the late Clark and Carrie Jones Furman. Janice was a fixture of her community and was cherished bf those around her.
Janice dedicated much of her career to serving as an office worker at the former Nevele Country Club in Ellenville. Her contributions to the community extended beyond her professional life; she was an active member of St. Marks Church in Napanoch and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Napanoch Fire Department. Her involvement with these organizations reflected her unwavering commitment to supporting her community and the people within it.
Janice is survived by her beloved son, Thomas Zeider of Napanoch, and her dear granddaughter, Dana, along with her husband John, also of Napanoch, she is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Susan of Rock Hill, SC. The family finds solace in the memories shared with Janice,
Visitation services will be held on July 20, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Loucks Funeral Home, located at 79 N Main St, Ellenville, NY. A graveside service will follow on July 21, 2025, commencing at 11:00 AM at Fantinekill Cemetery, situated at 8068 US-209, Ellenville, NY.
Janice M. Zeider will be missed deeply by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to St. Marks Church in Napanoch.
