Edward Chronowski, a Vietnam Veteran, loving husband, father, grandfather and resident of Warminster, PA passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Fox Chase Cancer Center, on Friday, May 12th, 2023.
Ed was born on October 6th, 1947, in Philadelphia to Charles and Pauline Chronowski. He was a 1966 graduate of Father Judge Highschool and he married Amelia Bommentre on June 17th, 1972. He served proudly in the United States Army, fortified himself as an esteemed soldier being awarded the Purple Heart for exceptional service.
Ed established himself throughout his career as a family man by dedicating his time, talent and effort with the Philadelphia Inquirer, Wissahickon Water Company, and the United States Mint. Ed truly loved the very simplistic things in life: family, food, cooking, crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, television, war movies/novels, and the Philadelphia Sports Teams (Eagles and Phillies being his favorites).
He is survived by his wife, Amelia, brother, William (Patricia) Chronowski, daughter, Emily Chronowski, son, James (Maria) Chronowski, grandchildren (Haylie & Aubrey Chronowski), step-grandchildren (Tiffanie & Thaddeus Veltri and Julia, James, & Jaelyn McCauley), endearing in-laws, and many nieces, and nephews. Ed was also preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles "Chuck" Chronowski.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Edward touched are invited to meet at Decker-Givnish (216 York Rd., Warminster, PA 18974) at 10:15 AM on May 30th, 2023, to proceed to the memorial service at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in a celebration of life to reminisce, grieve, and support.
In lieu of flowers, please send gifts/donations to the Vietnam Veterans of America to honor Ed. (https://vva.org/donate/).
