Edward Chukes Obituary
Deacon Edward L Chukes transitioned from this world on Wednesday August 16, 2023 at the age of 71.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Watson Temple Church of God in Christ, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 12 (Noon) to 6 P.M. Friday, August 25, 2023 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.
He was a member of Cathedral of Faith, COGIC, under the pastorage of Elder Joseph P. Manning where he served as a deacon. Edward was a 1970 graduate of Havana Northside High School and retired from the State of Florida's Department of Management Services as a Maintenance Supervisor after 30 years of dedicated service.
Forever cherishing Edward's memory are his dedicated wife of 43 years, Patricia Chukes; son, Patrick (Elizabeth) of St. Petersburg, FL; two daughters, Erikka S. Chukes of New Orleans, LA and Danielle Chukes of Grand Rapids, MI; two brothers, Harold Chukes (Brenda} and Craig Williams both of Tallahassee, FL; one sister, Hope Chukes of St. Mary, FL; 5 grandchildren, T'Ajdre,lysis, Yael, Bre and Elijah; his mother-in-law, Mother Tommie L. Cooper of Tallahassee, FL and a hosts of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.
