Edward Lewis Collins

Edward Lewis Collins, Jr. was born December 3, 1958, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to Allie Ruth Brannon Collins and the late Edward Lewis Collins, Sr. He received his education in the Spartanburg County school system.

Edward was known as "the life of daugh party." He was loved by all who knew him and had a spirit that brought joy wherever he went. He dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time watching westerns.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lewis Collins, Sr., and his grandmother, Lydia Mae "Ma Mae" Brannon.

Left to cherish his fond and loving memories are his children, Tasha (Marcus) McHam of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and LaDarrius Mitchell of Wellford, South Carolina; siblings, Yvonne Mack, Beverly Woodruff, Frankie Collins, and Lydia R. Collins, all of Spartanburg, South Carolina; grandchildren, Staceyandrea Hill, Stasha Hill, Stashon Foster, Staje'a Foster, Jativia Ferguson, Christopher Grady, III, Zamoria Mitchell, ZaaFira Mitchell, Zachira Mitchell, and Syair J. Foster; special friend, Lisa Foster; best friend, Tammy Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

On Thursday, December 11, 2025, Edward transitioned at his home. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
