Kenneth Scott Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Callaham-Hicks Funeral Home on Feb. 18, 2026.
Kenneth Tore Scott, affectionately known as "Kenny," was born on January 1, 1961, to the late Sadie Mae Lyles Scott and the late Christopher Columbus Scott, Jr. in Buffalo, NY. He was educated in Spartanburg County schools.

Kenny was known for his humorous and joyful spirit. He was a natural jokester who always had a joke to tell and could make those around him laugh. He was a talented artist and had a genuine love for people. Kenny enjoyed being in the company of others and never met a stranger. He also enjoyed relaxing with a cold beer. At an early age, he was saved and baptized at Thompson Street Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patricia Moore Scott and sister, Ellen L Scott.

Left to honor and cherish his memory are his children, Christopher Scott, Michael Moore, Travis Moore, Latonya Moore, all of Spartanburg, SC, and Lisa Smith of Greenville, SC; siblings, Ronald (Carolyn) Scott of Roebuck, SC, Christine (Sunday) Balgun of Greenville, SC, and Gerald Scott of Spartanburg, SC; aunts, Rosemary Washington and Joanne Fullenwider both of Spartanburg , SC; uncle, BJ (Tijuana) Lyles of Boiling Springs, SC; seventeen grandchildren; one great grandchild; special friend, Lovajean Holbert; special cousin, Curtis Sibert; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

On February 13, 2026, Kenneth transitioned at his home. Though he is no longer with us in presence, his laughter, love, and lasting memories will remain in our hearts forever. He will truly be missed and forever remembered.
