Edward L. "Ned" Colloton

Edward "Ned" L. Colloton, 84, passed away in Rockford, Illinois on March 17, 2023. He was born on October 25, 1938, in Rockford, son to Leo and Bernice (Stringer) Colloton. Ned married Marlene Raymer at St. Edward Catholic Church on January 31, 1959. He was a meat cutter at Eagle Foods for 45 years until his retirement in 2000. He was a member at St. Edward Catholic Church. Ned loved spending time with his family.
Survived by his children Douglas Colloton of Rockford, Diane (Kenneth) Slaughter of Weldon Springs, MO., Cathleen Colloton of St. Charles, MO., and Lisa (Daniel) Smith of Elkhorn, WI.; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; his brother Thomas (Beverly) Colloton of Pewaukee, WI.; brother-in-law Gary (Sally) Raymer of Rockford and one nephew. He is predeceased by his wife Marlene Colloton and his parents Leo and Bernice.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023 at St. Edward Catholic Church, 3004 11th Street, burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
