Edward Allen Cox, born on October 24, 1949, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, passed away on August 8, 2025, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He lived a life dedicated to his family, friends, and service to his country.
Edward was a proud Vietnam veteran who honorably served in the United States Army. His military service was a significant part of his life, shaping the values of respect, courage, and commitment that guided him throughout his journey.
He cherished spending time with his loved ones, always eager to create lasting memories with family and friends. Edward's warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
Edward is survived by his beloved children: David Allen Cox, Alexandriea Cox, Franklin Cox (spouse Brittnie); grandchild, Jonathan Daniel Cox. He also leaves behind his caring siblings, Kathleen Benson, Rhonda Schumeier, Winford Cox (spouse Linda), and Kenneth Cox (spouse Donna), along with several nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmore Cox; his mother, Grace Smithermen Cox; his wife, Carolyn Thomas Cox; and his brother, Sydney Cox.
A visitation will be held on August 14, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.F Crow & Son Funeral Home. The funeral service is scheduled for August 15, 2025, at 10:30 AM, followed by burial on August 18, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 N. Dixie Blvd., Radcliff, KY 40160.
Edward Allen Cox's legacy of love and service will be remembered dearly by all whose lives he touched.
