Edward V. "Meatball" Craven

EDWARD "MEATBALL" V. CRAVEN, 61, of Jeffersontown passed on Monday, January 13, 2025 at University Hospital. Born in Louisville to the late William and Clara Craven.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Carol Ann Craven.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings Michael A. Craven (Patti), Mary Craven, Rita J. Dunn, David A. Craven, Frances Diane Gregory, and Alan M. Craven; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; 2 great-great nieces and nephews; and the whole community of Jeffersontown, KY
Eddie "Meatball" Craven was a staple and legend in Jeffersontown, KY. If you lived or worked in J-Town you most likely saw him riding his bike or checking in on all the local businesses, where he was also known as the life-long Mayor of Jeffersontown. He always ran up to you with a smile and a story to tell you with such a sense of urgency. It was like he had been waiting all day to tell you. Meatball was in many ways at the heart of Jeffersontown. He will be missed by so many people and our beloved Jtown will never be quite the same.
His Memorial Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home Jeffersontown 10600 Taylorsville Rd. His Memorial Mass will be at Noon on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at St Edward Catholic Church 9608 Sue Helen Drive. Burial will follow in St Edward Cemetery.
