Edward Joseph Daly, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Claudette C. Daly; cherished son of the late Dorthy J. Annerino and the late Joseph Patrick Daly Sr.; devoted father of Kevin (Judith) Daly, Sean (Michelle) Daly, and Kelly (Andy) Ohlms; loving grandfather of Erin O’Brien, Ian Daly, Ireland Daly, and Drake Edward Daly; treasured great grandfather of Elowyn O’Brien and Beauden O’Brien; dear brother of the late Jean A. Landgraf, Joseph P. (Menchie) Daly Jr., Maryann (the late Donald) Slaninka, Terence G. (Cindy) Daly, and the late Patrick M. (Linda) Daly; uncle "Buddy" to a host of nieces and nephews.
Edward and Claudette shared 60 wonderful years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and a shared joy for dancing. A proud and honorable veteran of the United States Navy, he retired from TWA after many years of service. Edward continued to serve his community as the Treasurer of the Park Charles South Homeowners Association and as a member of the Woodworkers of St. Louis. He had a passion for woodworking, a keen interest in coin collecting, and enjoyed playing darts, fishing, and working on crossword and jigsaw puzzles. He also had a sweet spot for root beer barrel candies. Edward was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Edward's name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Edward donated his body to Washington University. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
