Mr. Dan, 61, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed watching any type sports and spending time with his kids, reading and self-educating. Before he got sick, he loved to play stickball and softball.
Mr. Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Bonnie Dan and Betty Lou Waiter; sisters, Nancy Dan and Martha Anderson; brothers, Robert Dan and John F. Dan.
Survivors include companion, Riveka Hall; daughters, Alexis Dan, Maya Rangel, Aloni Dan, Hayden Dan, Emry Dan; sons, Trevor Sam, Lionel Dan, Aleron Dan; sisters, Brenda Dan, Phyllis Keams; brothers, Michael P. Dan, Bodron Dan, Erik Dan; 6 grandchildren, Anvlon Thomas, Ayden Thomas, Jamyn Shoemake, Alaine Shoemake, Elliana Rangel, Benjamin Rangel.
Pallbearers are Lenny Hall, Jamion Shoemake, Kyle Matthews, Tinsley Dan, Keanu Anderson, Elliot Dan, Marty Williams, Jamie Jim, Dwight Chickaway. Honorary pallbearers are Kaleb Anderson, Perry Carter, Quinton Dan, Brannon Dan, Aleron Lewis, Marty Tubby.
