Edward Dean of Abilene passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Funeral Services will be held Saturday October 4, 2025 at North's Funeral Home at 11:00AM. With cremation to follow.
Edward Lee Dean was born on March 9, 1953, to the late Dorothy Lee Robinson Dean and the late James Edward Dean Sr. He graduated from Breckenridge High School and went on to attend Cisco Junior College. In the late 1970s, around 1978 or 1979, Edward moved to Abilene, Texas, where he continued to build a life rooted in family, community, and love.
In the early 1970s, he married Paula Alexander, and together they had two daughters, Monique and Dwan Dean. He was also the proud father of two other children, Eddie and Lacy Dean. Edward had a passion for cooking and loved playing dominoes with friends and family. His warm personality and joyful spirit touched all who knew him.
He was later married to Lacresha Dean, who survives him.., brothers; Johnny Dean (Michelle), Charles Dean, and Jamie Dean. sisters; Secile McGee (Rocky), Chris Dean, Ella Mae Dean, and Trish Dean all of Midland, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren who he loved dearly, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: Larry Dean, James Dean, Howard Dean, Marcus Dean, Dale Dean, and Jamie Dean.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on through his children, family, and friends.
