Edward Dickhoff Obituary

Edward (Ed) Bernard Dickhoff, husband, father, brother, friend, passed away peacefully at his home on April 26, 2022. He was 84 years old. His funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 17 at 11:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4291 Evergreen Parkway, Evergreen, Colorado. Ed was the oldest sibling of two brothers and one sister. He graduated from Roger Bacon High School in Cincinnati, and received an associates degree in electronics from Ohio College of Applied Science. When Ed was twenty-three years old, he married his cherished sweetheart, Mary Burkart, and they were married for over 60 years. They started their family in Cincinnati, Ohio, and later moved to New Milford, Connecticut. In 1976 the family - Ed, Mary, 4 boys and 2 girls at the time, - moved to Westminster, Colorado. Finally, with 5 boys and 2 girls, they moved to Evergreen, Colorado in 1983. In 1979, Ed started a 20-year career at Martin Marietta, which later changed to Lockheed Martin. He always expressed pride in the projects he was a part of. He also established long-time friendships though out his career. Ed deeply loved his family, close friends, and the mountains. He was always ready to help others, even if it took a hard day's work. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Alma, brother Robert, sister Cecilia, and his youngest son Dan.
