Edward R. Dirgo
"Loving husband and father"
Edward R. Dirgo, age 64, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on October 21, 2023 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Haack) Dirgo.
Ed was born on May 23, 1959 in Bridgeport, CT. Immediately after high school, Ed joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country for four years. He was a lifelong member of the Waterbury VFW Post #201, where he made lifetime friends whom quickly became family as he helped serve his community. He was currently working as a Test Engineer at Danbury Mission Technologies in Danbury, CT, where he had worked for over 30 years. He loved to shoot billiards, go out on the town to see bands, swim and tinker with just about anything, always making modifications. However, he found his greatest joy being surrounded by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to know and love him.
Besides his loving wife of over 26 years, he leaves his children, Cassandra Lynn Dirgo, Mark Lawrence Dirgo and Carter Mitchell Dirgo all of Waterbury, CT and a host of extended family and close friends.
Arrangements: Calling hours for Ed will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:30 PM at Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. Military honors will follow the service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family. Immediately following the funeral, we welcome everyone to come to the Waterbury VFW Post #201 at 2205 Baldwin St., Waterbury, CT for a celebration of Ed's life.
