Edward Dobbs Obituary

Ed was born on April 11, 1943 in McCreary County, Kentucky, the son of Edd and Georgia (Hoff) Dobbs. He graduated from Muncie Central High School in the class of 1961. On January 31, 1964, he married Anita Davis. In October of 1966 he entered into the United States Army and spent time in Vietnam. Ed and Anita lived in several different places including Colorado, Florida, and Texas for many years. Other than his family Ed's passion was muscle cars, his favorite being the Trans Am.
Ed is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anita Dobbs; daughter, Elena (Brooks) Smith; grandchildren, Jacob Smith and Rachel Smith; siblings, Brenda Anderson, Ron Dobbs, Marilyn (Rick) Spangler, and Diana (Mark) Gray; and several nieces and nephews.
Ed was preceded by his parents; sisters, Norma Jean Dobbs and Joyce Dean Hutcherson.
The family would like to thank Josh Meadows and Shari Dixon for the exceptional care that Ed received during his time of need.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Pastor Josh Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Cemetery.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday, November 3, 2025, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
