Edward H. Dobleman, a retired Chief of Police and Army Veteran, passed on Thursday November 20, 2025, at the age of 79. He was born in Mt Ephraim, NJ, on June 4, 1946 to John and Marion Dobleman. He graduated from Camden County Technical High School and then served in the United States Army for four years seeing combat service in Vietnam with the 173rd Airborne.
After his military service, Ed joined the Mt. Ephraim Police Department where he rose through the ranks and was eventually appointed Chief of Police. Ed was a dedicated public servant who was committed to making Mt. Ephraim a safer community.
He was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Donna (nee McFee) and their three children, Edward Charles Dobleman (Tracy), Dawn Marie Snyder (Michael) and Jason Edward Dobleman (Traci). He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Brent, Michael, Robert, Landon, Brynn,Savannah, and two great grandchildren Asher, and Ezra.
There will be a viewing on November 25, 2025 on Tuesday from 10am to 12pm with a funeral service immediately following at Gardner Funeral Home, Runnemede. Interment will be held at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro.
