Edward Joseph Dodds III

Edward Joseph Dodds, III, 69, of Marlton, New Jersey, passed away at his home in Marlton, New Jersey, on December 27, 2025. Born on August 16, 1956, in Woodbury, New Jersey, Ed's life was one marked by devotion to his family, and a passion for Philadelphia sports.
Raised in Runnemede, New Jersey, Ed was a proud graduate of Triton High School's Class of 1974. His academic journey continued at LaSalle University, where he studied accounting. For over four decades, Ed served the public with dedication as an employee of the US Postal Service, retiring in 2023.
Ed's life was enriched by the love and laughter of his family. He is survived by his children, Monica Krassner and her husband John, and Scott Dodds and his wife Kelsea. His role as a grandfather brought him immeasurable joy, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, Mallory, Adison, Jeffrey, and Wesley. His siblings, Richard Dodds and his wife Mary, and Lynn Dodds, will remember him as a caring brother. His former spouse and friend, Ileene Dodds, his aunt Tillie Canning, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive him. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Edward Joseph Dodds, Jr. and Jeannette Dodds nee Pritchett, and his brothers, Herb Dodds and Warren Dodds.
An avid Philadelphia sports fan, Ed never missed an Eagles "Go Birds!" or Phillies game, in support of his beloved teams. His enthusiasm for sports was matched by his love for playing golf, a pastime he enjoyed throughout his life. Ed was also a huge history buff, always eager to share his knowledge and insights with others. His clothing attire would never be complete without his New Balance sneakers, which earned him the title of afficianado.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt 73 South and Evesham Rd, Marlton, NJ 08053. A celebration of life will begin at 12:00 pm, at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill, NJ.
As Ed was not a formal dresser, the family asks you to wear casual attire, preferably Eagles or Phillies gear.
