Edward Dudding Obituary
Edward Thurl Dudding, 77, of Salem, Virginia, passed away on August 14, 2023, after a brief illness.
Edward was born on August 17, 1945 in Norfolk, Virginia to William C. Dudding and Jenevee A. Dudding. He is survived by his three children, Christopher Dudding (Katherine), David Dudding (Amber), and Lisa Dawson (Rodney), his brother, William G. Dudding (Deborah), his grandchildren, Landon, James, Will, Savannah, and Layla, and many cousins.
Spending his life serving others, Edward was a United States Air Force Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. Upon returning to the states from overseas, he continued to serve at Pope AFB as a Civil-Service Crash-Rescue Firefighter and a volunteer Fire Chief in his hometown.
He was always known for his loving nature, ability to make people smile, and easy-going personality. He now rests in the arms of the Lord, granting him the peace and serenity he deserves.
