Griffith Dudding Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home Inc. on Jan. 13, 2026.
Griffith Dudding III, of Las Vegas, NV, died peacefully on January 8, 2026. Born on July 30, 1971, in Bethlehem, PA, he was the son of Leann Dudding and the late Griffith Dudding, Jr. He was graduated from Salisbury High School in 1989 with many awards and graduated from Dartmouth College in 1993 with a BS degree in Chemistry. After attending a year at Tulane Medical School, he left to pursue other interests. He was a bright individual with an exceptional ability in mathematics and tutored many students in math, chemistry and physics.

As an instructor at Stanley H. Kaplan in Pennsylvania and Louisiana, he instructed classes for the MCAT, the Medical College Admission test. He loved sports and worked as a basketball referee at UNLV (University of Nevada Las Vegas) and for the Southern Nevada Officials Association. He loved watching baseball and football, especially the Phillies and Eagles. He loved to read, travel, play tennis and play cards. It was his interest in mathematics and cards that led him to the desire to create a Casino game which was in progress at his death and nearing completion. Griff had a deep compassion for the less fortunate and would always be ready to help someone in need.

He will be missed and never forgotten by his mother who loved him dearly and by his uncles, aunts, and many cousins who are all saddened by his death.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 12 noon at St. Thomas More Catholic Church 1040 Flexer Ave. Allentown. A calling hour will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. in the Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in the memory of Griffith Dudding Ill to Dartmouth College, Class of 1993 Scholarship Fund, 6066 Development Office, Hanover, NH 03755; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101; or St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave. Allentown, PA 18103.
