Edward “Ed” Joseph Barton, Sr., age 79 of Saucier, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Adeline Barton; his siblings, George Barton, Shirley Brown, Amelia Copeland, Ethel Davis, Annabelle Simmons, and Betty Parker; and his great grandchild, Maverick Barton.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Cora Galle Barton; his children, Edward “Eddie” (Carol) Barton, Jr., Lester (Nora) Barton, and Colleen (Andy) Scara; his grandchildren, Rebekah Barton, Thomas (Kenzie) Barton, Marc (Ashleigh) Cruso, Carmen Scara, Justin Barton, Danielle (Sawyer) McMurphy, Darren (Venessa) Cruso, Amber (Justin) Clark, and Aaron Scara; his great grandchildren, Eli Blasko, Jackson Barton, Addisyn Blasko, Isabel Barton, Maddox Barton, Rowan Cruso, Emerie McMurphy, Henlie McMurphy, Maisey Barton, Harlynn Cruso and Amos Clark; his brother, William Earl (Donna) Barton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He loved fishing and hunting and cherished time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was one of the hardest-working men you could ever meet, a gifted storyteller, and a devoted family man.
