Edward "Ed" Michael Carmine, age 71, of Biloxi, passed away on May 26, 2023, at home surrounded by his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Birdie; and his sisters, Mona and Elizabeth.

He is survived by his wife, Susan “the love of his life”; three children who inherited his quick wit, Stacie, Michael, and Ashley; a brother, Joseph Carmine and wife, Maryann; a sister, Lisa Stratford and her husband, the late Paul Stratford; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ed was born in Schenectady, New York but grew up in Vestal, New York.  Ed was a retired United States Navy Veteran where he proudly served as a fleet sailor.  He made lifelong friends in the Navy and wherever he traveled. Ed found pleasure in the simplest things in life.  A get together with friends and a glass of wine, talking to anyone about New York Yankee baseball and his favorite player Derek Jeter, or spending the afternoon making his Italian "sauce” that everyone loved.

Ed was a member of Polar Star Masonic Lodge #154, the Scottish Rite, and Joppa Shriners.

Ed’s love transformed the lives of everyone he met. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people, share part of himself and awaken the same spirit of love in each person he knew.  He will leave a huge hole in the hearts of family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and sense of humor.

It was his wish that there be a celebration/remembrance of his life at a later time to be announced so that everyone that loved him could be there.

Please consider making a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in memory of Ed.
