Edward John Fiorucci, 72, son of Silvio and Evelyn Fiorucci, died January 22nd, 2021, at Marymount Hospital, Garfield Heights, OH, unexpectedly. Ed came into the this world a fierce no-nonsense competitor, who always looked up to his older brother Ron (Janice, deceased), and wanted to be involved with whatever he was doing. His strong love of the country and following in his brother's footsteps led him to enroll in the Navy 1966 prior to his 18th birthday, giving a false birth date on his entry paperwork. This was during the height of the Vietnam war, and his goal upon entry was to become a Navy Seal. During the BUDS portion of his training he was stricken with Pneumonia once and poison sumac once, preventing him from being able to proceed in that process. He spent four years in the Navy and left with the designation of Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class. Ed is survived by his loving wife, Dianne, who had been together from when Ed was a senior in high school, eventually getting married in 1968 while Ed was still in the Navy. With the Vietnam War still raging, the two years after their wedding were extremely difficult for Dianne, as they were for so many mothers and wives who saw their loved ones off to war. During this period, Evelyn and Silvio welcomed Dianne into their home, where they lived together anxiously awaiting Ed's return. Ed preserved and was able to come home to his wife and family in 1970. In 1973, Ed and Dianne welcomed their fist born into the world, Keith (Stephanie) while living in Bedford Ohio. Following shortly thereafter, Carrie (Stefan) was born in 1975, then Dawn less than 12 months later in 1976. With this growth in the family, Ed and Dianne moved to the their current home in Garfield Heights in 1977, and lived there until this very day. Ed and Dianne were tireless workers, spending long hours and doing whatever it took to make ends meet, and ensuring that the family could always get away together for an outdoors vacation. Road trips in the brown Ford van to Tionesta or Oil Creek trout fishing was something the kids will always remember. Ed's biggest passion in life was his love of the outdoors; everything to do with hunting, fishing, or simply hiking in the woods with his dog, was always at the center of his life. He was an exceptional archer, competing and winning many competitions in northern Ohio, and until his final days, he and his brother Ron could still be found at the local ranges shooting Trap together competitively. Ed's biggest legacy, this love of nature and the outdoors was passed down to each of his kids, and to the subsequent generations. Each of his grandchildren, Tyler Rhoda, Brandon Rhoda, Michael Pyles, Nathan Pyles, Luca Fiorucci, Emilio Fiorucci and Giulia Fiorucci all have an appreciation of the outdoors that is a directly legacy of Ed's passion for wilderness and the great outdoors. Both he and his brother Ron shared this love, as Ron passed this same appreciation to his children, Ronnie (Marlene), Nickie (Dana) and Kimmy (Tim). Ed had many, many friends made over a lifetime of passion for the outdoors, and he will be sadly missed by all. A celebration of Ed's life will take place at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 RIDGE ROAD, PARMA ON, FRIDAY, JANUARY 29, 2021 FROM 4:00 PM-7:00 PM with facial covering and social distancing. 440-842-7800 www.buschcares.com

Dianne and family my heart breaks for you with your loss. Eddie leaves a legacy of love he shared with all of you and others he befriended. That love is to be cherished and thankful for, as many never get to experience it. You are very blessed to have Eddie as husband and father. I say have because he is still with you in that love, words spoken, and things taught to you. Eddie and I were close friends as young boys, although we went separate ways in our teens, he is still my friend. I pray God's peace and comfort for you.
