To my Dearest Daddy,
Oh, how I miss you so much. I think of you every time I hear the wind chimes ring or when I see a flower blooming or when a I see a little girl with curly hair (you always loved curls). I miss seeing you laying on the floor asleep because you said beds hurt you too badly. I miss fighting over the remote due to if you won we would be watching Sci Fy. (sorry Daddy, but I still don't like that channel :) ).
I just want to thank you Daddy for being my Daddy and for loving me through everything I experienced in my life. I thank you for showing me how to be tender and caring to someone who did you wrong and still show love to them even though your heart is broken. I want to thank you and Momma for instilling in me the sense of getting a good education and having a good career. I want to thank you for giving me the love of animals and aquatics. I loved working on our fish tanks together, trying to figure out what went wrong. I loved it. I want to thank you Daddy for always trying to help me, even though I knew sometimes you didnt know what you were doing, lol!
Daddy, thank you for showing me what a Christian home is suppose to look like. You raised three beautiful daughters and you had 2 grandchildren and 1 on the way that no one knew about until just a 2 weeks after your passing. Her name is Naomi Jane, you would love her so much Daddy. I have promised myself to always talk about her Gramps to her and for her to know you like you were here on Earth. She will get to know your heart, just like how I got to know Paw Paw's heart. Most importantly Daddy, I want to thank you from the deepest spot in my heart, for showing me who Jesus is and how to live a Godly life. You raised me up in a Christian home and you tried to always be a great role model for us and instill Godly values. Daddy, you taught me how to love others like God loves them and you taught me to not be scared to talk about my faith to others (I'm still working on that).
I love you Daddy with every fiber in my being. I wish you were still here with me, but that is just my greedy heart speaking. I would never want to take you away from Heaven. Go run Daddy, go play, go do everything you ever wanted to do. I LOVE YOU DADDY WITH ALL MY HEART. My heart breaks daily for you. Love you always Daddy, forever and always.

I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Ed was such a joy to be with. I had the privileged of working with him here in Henderson. I will think of him fondly every time I fish at Carpenter's Creek. He and I shared a day together fishing there, and we had a few laughs. He was always fun to be around.

I heard the other day of Ed's passing. I am so very sorry for your loss. Ed and I worked together at SIRS and he was definitely my buddy and a fantastic friend. Ed had a way of making one feel better when things weren't going so well. He was a joy and an inspiration to everyone. I will never forget his smile and fantastic personality. I feel I was blessed for having known him. Again, I am sooo sorry for your loss. Ed will live on in your heart forever. Diana Feltner

Our love and prayers to Janella, Allison, Natalie, Chelsea and family. I thought of Ed as a second father figure. I spent many weekend nights growing up hanging out at his home with his daughters. He always made it a point to ask how we were doing and say hi. I will miss that. Ed married my husband and I back in 2014. We were so proud that he felt it in his heart to do that for us. We will miss his smile, laugh and genuine caring attitude towards everyone he met.

I taught with Ed several years at South Middle School before I retired. I remember him as the kindest man. He never was too busy to stop and express a genuine interest in what was going on with me. He was a valuable part of the faculty, and the students really loved him.

Ed was such a wonderful person, his kindness and love touched all those around him. I had the privilege to work with him and he was the art teacher to two of my children; my children also adored him. He showed his love for teaching art to his students and had the patience of an angel when it came to them. What a great loss for us here on Earth, and a great blessing to those in heaven. Will truly miss him and pray for his family as they along with the world lost a wonderful man. May you rest eternally peaceful in God's arms Mr. Freuhwald.

Ed and I had only worked together for two years before I was elected to South Middle School's SBDM, along with him. I didn't know him very well then, but over the next two years, I got to know him very well. It was during this time that I learned that Ed had once been a pastor. Although he had to give that title up, due to his health problems, he still carried the Word with him wherever he went. He was SO kind!!! I have NEVER met such an humble servant of Christ. He will be greatly missed at our school. There were many nights that I'd see Ed at Wendy's, picking up his dinner. He would stay late into the night, working to make sure that our veterans would feel welcomed and special. Not only did Ed work tirelessly to make our Veteran's Day program a success EVERY year, but many people don't know that he also wrote many grants, behind the scenes, at South Middle School to provide vital materials of which our students needed. For years, Ed purchased equipment and art supplies for his students out of his own pocket. That is true love, for your students and your profession. Ed always had a smile on his face, and when I asked him how he was doing, his answer was simple: "Oh, I'll make it". Yes, Ed, you made it!!! Rest in Peace, my dear friend.

Please know that my sincere sympathy is extended to your family. Ed was a great individual. I enjoyed working with him each year on a banner project that the Henderson County Schools has been involved in for many years. Ed was always eager to get started and to allow his students to use their talent. Ed will be truly missed in our school system as he has made a huge impact on students, staff, parents/guardians. Our prayers are with you.
