Edward C. Gilmore

Edward C. Gilmore, 67, of Tullytown, PA, died on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. Born in Charleroi, PA, Ed grew up in Fairless Hills, graduating from Pennsbury High School and the Lower Bucks Tech School. He retired after 37 years from Moldamatic in Penndel as a warehouse manager. Ed was a long time member of the Tullytown Fire Co. serving as a former Lieutenant. He was a handyman around the house, enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons and was an excellent cook. He looked forward to spending time at his condo in Satellite Beach, FL where he served on the Board of Directors. Edward was the son of the late Charles E. Gilmore and he is survived by his mother, Ruth Reconnu Gilmore, his devoted wife of 45 years, Ellen Lownes Gilmore. He is the proud father of Scott E. Gilmore (Susan Berghof), Timothy C. Gilmore (Allison) and Jeffrey M. Gilmore (Brenda Wisniewski) and the loving grandfather to Natalie Corinne Gilmore. He is the brother of Kenneth G. (Ruth) Gilmore, Dan A. (Pat) Gilmore and the uncle of many nieces and nephews. He had a special place in his heart for Kayleigh and Layla. Relatives and friends are invited to Edward's Life Celebration from 11 to 12 PM on Saturday, November 5, 2016 and to his funeral Service at 12 Noon at the Swartz/Givnish Funeral Home, 323 E. Washington Ave., Newtown. Interment will be private.
