Edward L. Gracie, 71, of New Cumberland, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, at his home after a lengthy illness.

Born February 1, 1954, in Steubenville, he was the son of the late James and Doane Herron Gracie. A proud graduate of Oak Glen High School, Class of 1972, Ed was actively involved in the marching band, track team, and key club. He later enjoyed a distinguished career at Weirton Steel Corporation before his retirement.

Ed was an enthusiastic motorcyclist who took great pleasure in riding his Harley. He frequently spent his time skillfully tinkering in his garage and diligently maintaining his yard. He leaves behind a loving legacy, including his devoted wife, Gloria Watts Gracie; his daughters, Emily Ducey (Matt) and Sara Lockhart; his cherished granddaughter, Stella Ducey and stepchildren, Charles Bass, Kelly Watts, and James Bass.

Ed was preceded in death by his twin brother, Chuck Gracie, and his brother, Jim Gracie.

He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Pastor Dirk will be here to celebrate Ed's life, Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the Arner Funeral Chapel, at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with his family on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 6:00-8:00PM.
