Edward Stanley Graff III of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on July 10, 2024. He was born July 31, 1956 in Albany, New York.
Ed grew up in Lake George, New York. Upon graduating Lake George Senior High School in 1974, Ed joined the United States Air Force. After completing a four-year tour of duty, he joined the Ford Aerospace Company. This job took Ed to a number of unique and exotic locations around the world; It was during this time that Ed met his beloved wife of 41 years, Marlene.
Ed and Marlene returned to the United States in 1983 to start their family. Over the coming decades, Ed completed a successful career in the Aerospace Industry; working on cutting edge technology in support of our nation, until his retirement in 2013.
An engineer by trade and a handyman at home, Ed never shied away from a hard day's work. Ed was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed hiking, fishing, and target shooting. He held a strong appreciation for nature and wildlife. He was an avid gardener, a voracious reader, and an excellent cook.
Ed is survived by his wife Marlene; son Nicholas and wife Tamara; daughter Sandrine and husband Bryan (Ostrow) and their daughter Mahé; and brother Thomas and wife Deborah.
Family, friends, and neighbors are invited to attend a visitation on Friday July 19, 2024 between Noon and 2 PM.
Per Ed's wishes, his ashes will be scattered at his favorite wilderness areas by loved ones.
