1970 – 2024
Ed Han of Ewing, NJ passed away on December 4th 2024 at the age of 54 after a long illness.
He spent most of his childhood in Livingston, NJ where he attended Newark Academy as a High Schooler. He graduated with a BA in English Literature from Albright College in Reading, PA.
He worked at many companies including R.R. Bowker, MSCI, and most recently Cenlar, FSB. Ed was an avid role-playing gamer, huge Bruce Springsteen fan, but mostly a fierce advocate for job seekers through his career, volunteer groups, and his "LinkedIn Tip of the Day" and "EdTalks." Ed volunteered for various job seekers' groups including Whine & Dine, and PSG and gave speeches and guested on podcasts sharing his expertise and wisdom.
He was also a trustee at Pilgrim Congregational Church. He was always asking people how he could help them and always following through. His optimism and strength before and especially after his diagnosis are to be marveled at and aspired to.
Ed is survived by his devoted wife, Cora, his loving parents, Ki Hyun and Eunja, and caring sister and brother, Patty and Mike. A memorial service will be held at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Warren, NJ on December 14th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are respectfully requested to Pilgrim Congregational Church.
Funeral arrangements are by Orland's Ewing Memorial Chapel. OrlandsMemorialChapel.com/Edward-Han

I met Ed at the Trenton State Employment Office pursuant to the mass firings of the 2008 Great Recession. He was a star in the night assisting the 50-65 year old displaced seniors catch the charge to reinvent their careers. A man always lifting

Like the others I never had the chance to meet Ed in person and I wish we could've met. It would be wonderful to meet with him and others and play some games. His answers on Quora were always enjoyable to read and he really did a lot to help people who had questions about D&D and other RPGs.

I´m writing to express my deep sorrow at the passing of my friend, Ed Han. Ed and I got to know each other and become friends several years ago through the New Jersey Professional Services Group, in Trenton. Although we rarely saw each other in person after that experience ended, we always remained in touch.

I always appreciated Ed´s helpful opinions, insights, and advice about job seeking, his warmth, and his sense of humor. But nothing prepared me for witnessing the gallant fight he put up in his final days. His grace and courage will always be an example for others. Rest in peace, Ed. May your memory be for a blessing and may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

I never met Ed in person. We connected through Quora via a shared love of roleplaying, stories, and my answers about historical European martial arts. Through his own answers and our discussions I knew Dan to be a kindred soul whose curiosity was matched by his generosity of spirit. He left our corner of the Internet a better place than he found it.

I never met Ed in person. We only knew each other from Quora. We mostly talked about gaming. He made me realize that my approach to gaming was narrativist, not simulationist, and it's profoundly changed how I've approached gaming since. I'm really going to miss our discussions, and bouncing ideas off of him. I wish I'd gotten to meet him face to face.
