Edward J. Hanisco, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the age of 93.
A lifelong resident of Philadelphia, Edward was a man of many talents who could fix anything. He earned his Private Pilot License and enjoyed flying Piper Cherokee aircraft. But perhaps his most unique accomplishment was being an intriguing magician. Edwards passion and dedication to the craft was evident in every performance. He took pleasure in entertaining audiences of any age!
Edward cherished traveling out west with his late wife, Betty, and Arizona was always his favorite. Each summer, he looked forward to the annual fishing trip in Wildwood, NJ with his family.
Edward was predeceased by his beloved wife, Alimara E. "Betty" (nee Forrest) and his great granddaughter, Rowan Rose Marczak.
Loving father of Edward M. Hanisco (Eleanor), Kenneth Hanisco (Cheryll) and Robert Hanisco;
cherished Pop Pop of Heather, Rachel, Jessica, Michael, Megan and Douglas and devoted
great Pop Pop of Ryann, Patrick, Arianna, Hailey, Reagan and Autumn.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at Our Lady of Calvary Church, 11024 Knights Road, Philadelphia, Pa 19154, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Edward's memory may be made to Our Lady of Calvary, 11024 Knights Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154.
