Edward Lewis Holloway was born on March 6th, 1952 in Monticello, FL. to his parents, Joe Lewis Holloway and Dorothy Marie Holloway.
Edward was affectionately known as "Nin" and "Cupper" by his family. He received his education in Madison and Jefferson County School Systems. As a child, he worked alongside his mom and uncle, affording him the ability to acquire many different skills and strengths. He was an avid mechanic, worked in welding and quality control, operated semi-trucks and forklifts, just to name a few. He was very passionate about his work and did not refrain from putting his many talents to use.
Even though he had many ambitions and continued to strive for greatness in his life, it did not distract him from finding his one true love. In 1972, he met the love of his life, Dorothy Jean Coley. They were married on December, 21, 1973, beginning their journey together as husband and wife. This year would've been their 50th wedding anniversary.
Edward began his journey of entrepreneurship in the early '80s. His first company was Ed's Towing Service. He also became a licensed private investigator, which blossomed into T. E.K. Recovery and Investigations, but he didn't stop there. One thing about Edward Holloway, he was never afraid to explore uncharted territories, so there was no surprise when he created yet another business called Squirt Professional Services, where he not only continued to provide recovery and investigation services, but he also expanded into charters and tours, all done in loving memory of his son Edward Jr, AKA "Squirt". Edward definitely had a mind for business and everything he touched became an instant success.
Although Edward was known for his work ethic, he also had a softer side to him. He loved to laugh, dance, and entertain his family and friends. He hosted many cookouts, employee/family functions, showcasing his immaculate grilling and culinary skills. He was one of the most generous people to grace this earth. He truly wore his heart on his sleeve and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone attached to him, even if it meant putting his own life in danger.
On the evening of Tuesday, September 19th 2023, Edward departed this earth to begin a life eternal in his heavenly home. He transitioned peacefully while surrounded by family at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Joe and Dorothy Holloway, his sons Donald Coley and Edward Holloway, Jr, his grandson Joshua Coley, and his siblings Donald Holloway and Chander Morgan.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife, Dorothy Holloway of Albany, GA; his beloved sons: Keith Holloway, Sr. of St. Petersburg, FL and Frederick Coley, Sr. (Lashonda) of Miami FL; his beloved daughters; Gidget Peyton and Krystle Holloway both of Albany, GA and Tera Holloway of Cerritos, CA; his beloved siblings, Mary Banks, Vernice Holloway, Frances Watts (Edward), Patricia Bryant (Taylor), Franklin Johnson (Carla), and Thelma Grant; a special sister-in-law, Blondie C. Maine; his beloved grandchildren, Lisa Young, Tavarres Holloway, Savarres Holloway, Keith Holloway, Jr., Kihla Holloway, Noah Keiser, Donovan Holloway, Kelci Holloway, Kevonna Banks, Jessie Mullins (Cody), Kaiden Holloway, Kovi Holloway, Frederick Coley, Jr, Kenyartha Clark, and Derrick Coley; his beloved great grandchildren: Ma'Riyah Williams, Jaydin Holloway, Kilani McCafferty, Breileigh Smith, Kendall Smith, Ja'Mya, Kailyn, Brooklyn Coley; 3 grandbabies-to-be, Levi Holloway, Lincoln Mullins, and Greyson Mullins; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers/sisters in law and friends.
