Edward W. Jackson

Edward W. "Eddy" Jackson, age 85, of Erie, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026. He was born in Tarentum, PA on June 6, 1940, son of the late John William and Dorothy Weber Jackson.

Eddy was a 1958 graduate of Cathedral Prep and devoted his life to his work as a Master Electrician. Each year, he proudly wired the Harborcreek Festival, a role he took great pride in. Eddy was also the lead singer of the band "Eddy and the Blue Jays," sharing his love of music with many. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, and gardening - especially tending to his beloved rose bushes. Eddy cherished trips to Las Vegas and was a faithful member of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church and the East Erie Moose Club.

Eddy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judith Ann Zazado Jackson; two children, Bruce Edward Jackson (Jamie) and Kathy Fausnaught (Ozzy); three stepchildren, Theresa Gray, Tracy Moodler and John Moodler; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three daughters, Lorily Regnault, Marcine Feretta and Tammy Jackson; and one brother, Robert Jackson.

The family would like to thank the staff of Sarah Reed Senior Living for the compassionate care given to Eddy.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., Thursday, January 29th, from 3 to 7 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mercy R.C.
