Edward Franklin Jenkins Sr.

Edward Franklin Jenkins Sr. was born on January 12, 1933 in Chipley Florida, to William Troy Jenkins and Robbie Jenkins. He attended Colombia High school in Lake City, Florida graduating in 1952. Following graduation, he met the love of his life, Lorraine Esther Kelly and they married on July 31, 1955. Edward was a dedicated employee of the Sunbeam Bakery for 35 years. He also served his country in the United States Navy for 8 years, as a retail service specialist and cook, and received an Honorable discharge for his time & commitment. Edward was a faithful and active member of the Fort Caroline Christian Church where he served as a Deacon, demonstrating his love for the Lord. He was known as a good friend, a good neighbor, a good father, a great husband and an even better grandfather. Edward had a big heart and was always willing to help those in need. He was always more than ready to help with charities and donate to them as well. He loved helping friends and families. Edward was loved by so many and brought joy to those who knew him. Edward was preceded in death by his father William Troy Jenkins, his mother Robbie Jenkins, his sisters, Margie Odom, Francis Petzinger, Ocille Williams, and his brothers, George Jenkins, Leon Jenkins, and William Jenkins. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 70 years Lorraine Jenkins, his daughter Laura Lynne Hand; his son Edward F. Jenkins Jr.; his son William Kirk Jenkins; his daughter Misty Kelly Potter; his grandchildren Bryan W. Bessent, Christina Kelly Rowell, Adrian Hand, Ashley Kethman, Brittany Terry McWhorter, Vanessa Jenkins, Savannah Jenkins, Dawn Jenkins, Hazel Lorraine Storms, Brynnah Michele Potter and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Edward Franklin Jenkins Sr. will be forever loved and missed
