Edward Jimenez, 69, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on February 26, 2024. He was
born on October 21, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas. He was the third son born to Francisco
(Frank) and Herminia (Minnie) Jimenez.
Edward graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio in 1973, where he
met his soulmate, Janet Goldberg Jimenez. He was a member of the Jefferson high school
band and played the clarinet. He also played the organ in his spare time. He graduated
from Texas State Technical Institute where he learned his trade profession in dental
laboratory technology.
He was a member of the San Antonio Van Club and owned the van known as Texas Blue
Magic. In 1977, he was reunited with Janet and they married in 1978. They had 3
daughters throughout their life together. They opened Anatomy Dental Lab in 1978.
He was the owner/operator and the lifeblood of that business. Throughout the years he
had many employees but was always willing to help family by offering them a job and
training them in the dental lab profession. Edward was an active and long time member of
the River City Study Group for dental lab professionals in the San Antonio area.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Minnie Jimenez, and his wife Janet.
His is survived by his current spouse Xuiqun Cai, brothers John A Jimenez, and Louis
Jimenez, his daughters Jennifer, Jaclynn, and Krystal, 4 grandchildren and numerous
nieces and nephews.
A memorial service/viewing will be held at Watershed Church, 9315 Broadway, San
Antonio, TX 78217, on Thursday, March 14th, from 12:30pm to 4:30pm. The graveside
burial service will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX
78218, on Friday, March 15th, at 11:30am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Abode Home non-profit 501(c)(3) and
Trinity Hospice.
