Edward King Obituary
Edward Gene King went to be with the Lord August 27th, 2025. He was 90 years old.
Ed was born June 26, 1935 to Cecil and Dorothy (Kirkpatrick) King in Onawa, IA. His family moved to the Seattle area in the early 1940's. After graduating high school Ed joined the army and served two years in Korea. Upon returning home he enrolled at the University of Washington. He graduated with a BA in Sociology.
Ed began his career as a youth counselor for the State of Washington. He married Carol Jane Galloway on June 24th, 1966. Ed finished his 25 year career as the Director of Youth Services in Clallum County.
After Ed retired he moved to Soap Lake, WA and was active in volunteer work with Grant County CASA, Overcomers Outreach and AA. He love to golf, fish, and hunt pheasant. Music was a big part of Ed's life. He loved to play, sing and listen to music.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Dorothy King, his brothers Ray King and Don King, his sister Carolyn (King) Poe, nephews Donald Ray King and Terry Poe, and his niece Rosalie McLaughlin.
He will be missed by all who loved him.
