Edward R. Kissell, 84, born on October 7, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away March 22, 2013. He resided in Covina, California for 60 years, at the time of his passing. His funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 27--10:00 a.m. Sacred Heart Catholic Church, .344 W. Workman St. 91723 Reception following at ALL-PACK-CO.,INC. , 718 Arrow Grand Circle, Covina, 91722. Private family internment at a later date. Ed shrared his life with the love of his life, LaVerne, for 64 years, prior to losing her in January. They leave 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters. Ed loved family, friends, traveling the U.S. and world, boating, golfing, supporting baseball, where he was instrumental in the relocation and creation of the Covina Pony League field at Hollenbeck Park. He never missed every grandchilds baseball, football, soccer, cheerleading games, dance recitals, and serving his community in the Covina Rotary, where he served as president. He also served his Church in the Knights of Colombus, for 57 years. As well as serving his country for 8 years in the Illinois National Guard. Ed was a self starter, an adventurer who moved his small family from Illinois to sunny California in 1953. A mechanic by trade, he began working in the packaging industry. In 1967 he started his own company, ALL-PACK-CO., Inc. in his home. In 1985 he built the building where ALL-PACK continues to operate . An inspiration to his family and friends....we miss him with all our hearts.
