Ed LaPointe, 72, of Sandown, N. H, died on February 8, 2025, at Exeter Hospital. Son of the late Edward and Marie (Connery), Ed was the beloved husband of Sandra (Barron), with whom he shared over 35 years of marriage. He was the brother of Joseph LaPointe and his wife Donna, and Paul LaPointe. He is predeceased by his sister, Jeanne. Ed grew up in Revere MA, and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School. He was a veteran of the US Air Force.
In addition to his wife, Ed is survived by his three much-loved daughters, Danielle of Brazil, Andrea Waldron (Chris) of Boscawen N. H, and Nicole Dizer (Shane) of Sandown. He was the proud grandfather of Autumn and Collin Dizer and Finley Waldron, who arrived in January. Ed is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
Though he faced significant physical challenges later in life, Ed never lost his sense of humor and had a contagious laugh. He loved being outdoors fishing and was an enthusiastic beekeeper. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by many.
Visiting hours are Monday, February 17, 2025, from 4–8 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 172 King St, Boscawen, NH. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 9:30–10:30 AM at Phaneuf Funeral Home- Boscawen, followed by a 20-minute burial service at 11:00 AM at NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen.
