Share your Memorial with Family & Friends It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Theodore "Ted" Larcom. Ted was born on October 20, 1949, to Edward Joseph Larcom and Victorine Alice Dehoux. He had four siblings: two brothers, Alfred and Ricky and two sisters, Erma Jean and Cookie. He made it to heaven on May 11, 2024 at 10:06am. He married his childhood friend Wanda Fay Larcom (1954-2021) in 1973, and they were married for 47 years. They had one daughter, Jennifer Fay Larcom, born in 1977. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, and his wife, Wanda. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer; son-in-law, Scott; grandson, Fin; and his two brothers, Alfred and Ricky. Ted was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew him. God truly broke the mold when Ted was created. He grew up in Port Tampa, Florida, and attended Robinson High School. A veteran of the US Navy, Ted was in service during the Vietnam War. He then became an auto mechanic at Larcom's Garage until retirement. He and his wife, Wanda, later joined their daughter and son-in-law to live in Satellite Beach and Indian Harbour Beach, FL. Ted was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed gardening and caring for orchids. But his favorite past time was talking to people about his amazing life experiences and making them smile and laugh with his remarkable personality and his "gift of gab." He was a spiritual man and devout Christian who loved reading the Bible. He wore the "armor of God" every day. He was looking forward to fishing that golden pond in heaven with Jesus.He loved to help the sun rise up every morning at the beach, drinking his "most delicious beverage," coffee, with his friends of faith he called his "tribe." Ted was a father-figure to many – a giver of knowledge, wisdom, generosity, joy, insight, kindness and love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.He was so special that the angels made a celebration in the sky just for him as he was leaving this world at the peak of a once-in-a-lifetime geomagnetic storm that brought the aurora all the way to Florida. Such glory!In lieu of flowers, Ted would without-a-doubt ask you to show an unsolicited and unexpected act of kindness to a person in need, open your heart and actually tell the people you love, "I love you," or occasionally just look up at the sky and give a prayer of thanks that you live in this beautiful world. His favorite saying was, "It's a beautiful day, thank you God!"-I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. – 2 Timothy 4:7Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. – John 4:16Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, – John 11:25And he said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise." – Luke 23:43I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. – Philippians 1:23Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing. – 2 Timothy 4:8And I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on."
