Norman "Wendell" Larcom

Wendell passed away March 29th 2024 at the age of 65. He was born October 1, 1958 in Hermosa Beach Ca to Norm and Anna. He was the 2nd of 7 children. He attended Lincoln Elementary, Adams Jr High, and graduated from Aviation High School in Redondo Beach Ca in 1976. Shortly after high school Wendell moved to Wyoming where he worked as a rough neck in the oil fields for about 10 years. He returned to Southern Ca in the late 80s and ultimately relocated to Redding Ca in July of 1994. He spent most of his time in Redding as a glazier with odd jobs in between and in retirement he spent his days babysitting his grandchildren. He was an avid motorcyclist. He was a member of Harvest Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed reading his bible and watching Sheperds Chapel. Wendell is survived by his children Nathan (Miranda), Haley (Rafael), Destiney, grandchildren Honee, Bradyn, Rafael, Jolon, Natalia, Cristian, Norman, Wyatt, Ilyana, Taylor, Norma and Roscoe, his siblings Lisa, Angela (Juan), Kevin (Deborah), nephews Beau (Melody), Caleb, Wayne, Trevor, and Daniel, nieces Hannah, Brett (Elias), Emma (Allen), Amber (Justin), Bonnie (Dwayne), Carolyn and Lisa, 4 great nephews, and 12 great nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents Norm and Anna, his brothers Wesley and Ryan, his sister Honee, and his son Norman Wendell Larcom II. Services will be held Saturday April 13th at 9am at Allen and Dahl Funeral Chapel in Palo Cedro Ca and the graveside service will follow at 11am at St. Joseph Cemetery in Redding Ca.
