Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel on Dec. 28, 2025.
Mable Louise Larcom, known affectionately as Louise or "Weezy", passed away peacefully on December 23,2025 at the Kobacker House following a brief stay at Riverside Methodist Hospital. A native of Waldo and a resident of Radnor, Louise was 90 years old.
Born on September 16, 1935 in
Waldo, Ohio, Louise was the youngest of four daughters born to Harles Ray "Pete" and Marguerette (McKendrick) Moyer. Growing up, Louise and her sisters – Clara Mae, Mary Lou and Jane were local celebrities of a sort. Known as the 'Moyer Sisters', they spent years singing and performing, bringing music and joy to the Waldo community.
Louise graduated from Waldo High School in 1953. She went on to enjoy a long and dedicated career with the General Telephone Company. While she took great pride in her professional life, her true joy was found in the home she built and maintained with meticulous love for her husband and their son, Kevin.
On November 4, 1956 Louise married the love of her life, Ronnie Larcom, at the United Church of Christ in Waldo. Together, they shared 57 years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family and laughter until Ronnie's passing in 2013.
Louise was a woman of deep faith and a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waldo, where she lent her lovely voice to the church choir for many years.
Louise had a passion for travel, with fond memories of trips to Maryland, the shores of North Carolina, and the natural beauty of Yellowstone Park. At home, she found contentment in the simple joys of life – watching the birds at her feeders, getting lost in a good book, or engaging in a spirited game of flinch.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Ronnie; and two of her sisters: Clara Mae Wiseman and Mary Lou Laucher-Retterer.
Her memory will be cherished by her son, Kevin Larcom and his fiancé Mia; her dear sister, Jane Fogle; granddaughters and bonus granddaughter - Jessie Larcom, Geni Larcom, Alissa Griffith and Tia Vanderwall. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and a generation of great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
Louise will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Waldo Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held this coming spring to honor her memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations me made to the Kobacker House in Louise's memory, in gratitude for the compassionate care she received.
