Edward Daniel "Ed" Leedy, age 92 served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1969, and formerly of Jackson, OH passed away peacefully on Friday April 25, 2025.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife Sandra Arlene Leedy (nee Roberts) of 58 years whose memory he held dear every day.
Loving father to Sharon A. (Kenneth) Rachan of Homer Glen, IL,Dianne M. (Scott) Calhoun of Aiken, SC and the late Nancy L. (Paul) Talbett of Kempner, TX and forever cherished and remembered by his grandchildren John (Alisa) Rachan of North Aurora, IL and Steven (Megan) Rachan of Tinley Park, IL and adored by his great granddaughters: Eliana, Ava, Lucia and Lydia Rachan.
Ed was a Mechanical Engineer who retired in 1998 after a 40-year career with Industrial Risk Insurers of Chicago, IL. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, spending time with his children and grandchildren and wonderful dinners with his friends.
Ed's faith was very important to him. He was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist church for over 40 years attending both church and Sunday School.
A memorial service will be held at a future date.
