Edward F. Lepore

1938 - 2022

Edward F. Lepore of Woodbridge, and Naples, FL, formerly of Burlington, passed away on May 10, 2022 in Woodbridge. He was the husband of Lou Ann M. Lepore.
Ed was born July 6, 1938 in New Haven, son of James Lepore and Celia (Canelli) Lepore.
Raised in Plainville, Ed graduated from Plainville High School and enlisted in the United States Navy. He was a Cold War era veteran and proudly served in the 2nd and 6th US Navy fleets.
He returned to his hometown of Plainville after his military service and started a family, moving to Burlington in 1975.
He was a very successful residential and commercial building contractor, land developer, real estate investor, and retail business owner, retiring in the 1990's. Ed built countless homes and buildings. He put in subdivisions throughout CT.
After retirement he enjoyed golfing, cooking, and spending time at his home in Florida.
He loved his country and was passionate about seeing the freedom and prosperity that he realized was passed forward to future generations.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children, Dina and her husband Jae Bishop of Torrington, Jim and his wife Juliet of Woodbridge, Steve and his wife Diana of New Hartford and Old Saybrook, eight grandchildren, Samantha Lepore, Michelle (Fuchs) Kemper, Sean Fuchs, Courtney Lepore, Jimmy Lepore, and Michael Lepore, Giovanni Bonazzoli, Marcello Bonazzoli, and two great-grandsons, Koi Kemper and Kove Kemper, and his brother, Thomas J. Lepore and family.
Family and friends may visit Bailey Funeral Home of Plainville, 48 Broad St, Plainville, CT on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at The Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 12 p.m.
Attendees are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
