Edward MacLachlan II

MACLACHLAN, Edward II – of Otisville, age 78, passed away on December 27, 2024 at Hurley Medical Center. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, January 6, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will take place 10 AM Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI 48442. The family will receive visitors from 4-7 PM on Sunday, January 5, 2025. A Memorial Service, under the auspices of Lapeer County Voiture #1536 40 et 8 and American Legion Post #321, will be held 6 PM on Sunday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday.
Edward was born in Flint, MI on January 8, 1946, son of the late Edward Sr. and Sarah (Noble) MacLachlan. He married Marjorie Layman on May 30, 1970 and she preceded him in death on May 29, 2008. Edward proudly served his country with the U.S. Army as Staff Sergeant in the Artillery and served in Vietnam. He was a member and Past Commander of the American Legion Post #151 in Flint and Past Commander of Post #321, Otisville. Edward served as Grand Chef de Gare of the Grand Voiture Du Michigan, held several offices on the National Level of the 40/8 and was a member of Post #4087 V.F.W Davison, MI. He retired from Perry Printing Company in Flint.
Edward is survived by his children, Tina MacLachlan, Erica MacLachlan, and Edward MacLachlan III; grandchildren, Cathryn-Grace MacLachlan, Hannah and Taylor Singley and Jay MacLachlan; great-grandson, Kaid Alexander Guy Goffena; good friends, Kelley Nichols and Michael Bice; and many other loving family members and friends.
