Majury, Edward R., age 87 of Hawthorne, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Born in Paterson, Ed had graduated from Paterson Tech, after which he proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Salem. He had served in both the Atlantic as well as the Mediterranean Sea.

After his service, Ed worked as a truck driver for many years. He started with Hostess Cakes, then Garden State Farms and Krausers, and finished his career with Alcrest Trucking.

Ed enjoyed frequent trips to Atlantic City and Monticello with his wife. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Edward R. Majury was the beloved husband of 56 years to the late Ruth (Van Handel) Majury (2016). Loving father of David Majury of Manahawkin, Michael Majury and his wife Debra of Jefferson Township, Margaret Tamburro and her husband Victor of Hawthorne, and the late Edward Majury (2020). Dear grandfather of Alexis Majury, David Majury and his wife Kristi, Ashley Sansone and her husband Tyler, Kara Majury, Sean Majury and his fiancée Andie, and Kaitlyn Majury, and Kyle Tamburro, Carley Tamburro and her fiancé Mikey Galland, Christopher Tamburro, and Kimberly Tamburro. Great Grandfather of Travis, Jameson, and Colten. Brother of Dorothy Moore and her husband James of Hawthorne.

Funeral service will be held at 4:30pm on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne. Cremation will be private. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 1:00pm to 4:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Hawthorne Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
