Edward Loring Marr II

Edward "Woody" Loring Marr, II, 73 year old resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died November 29, 2022, in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born April 5, 1949 to Robert Irving Marr and Priscella Alberta Marr in Charlston, South Carolina. Woody married Kathryn Marie White on December 14, 2019. Woody and Kathy moved from New Orleans, Louisiana to Siloam Springs, Arkansas in 2020.
Woody played football in high school and college and was on the wrestling team at the University of Southwestern Louisiana. He loved surfing, sailing, diving and riding motorcycles. He was a self taught artist and loved painting pictures for friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Priscilla Marr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Marr, one son, Leon Marshall of Metairie Louisiana, and one daughter, Summer Marshall of Metairie, Louisiana, one granddaughter, Persephone Marshall of Metairie Louisiana, one brother, Skip Marr of Springfield, Missouri and one sister Sue Marr of Edenton, North Carolina.
A rosary service will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. A memorial mass will be held 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
