Edward Wesley McDowell

EDWARD WESLEY MCDOWELL passed into eternity on March 25, 2025 at the age of 80. He was a native of San Diego residing in Poway and Ramona. After graduation from Poway High School he married and went to work for North American Aviation as a Precision Parts Inspector, then worked at Jet Air Inc., on to Solar Turbine Corporation entering into a four year apprenticeship for Manufacturing/Quality Engineer in the Aerospace Industry. He also worked for Jet Air Straza, then GKN Aerospace/Chem-Tronics Inc. for 20 years. He was a very hard worker taking care of his family.
Wes loved fishing life long, especially with his son Jonathan(deceased) and several very good friends in all of the San Diego lakes. Bass fishing was Wes and Jonathan's favorite sport.
Wes is survived by his wife Mary of 61 years, daughter Cheryl Lynn, granddaughters, Tanya(Zonar), Holly(Randy), six great grandchildren, Ayana, Chandreau, Nonu, Malosi, Samoana and Sefina. He was very proud of them all. Wes will be very much missed by his family and close friends.
