Edward Joseph "Eddie" O'Brien, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on January 7, 1956, in Boston, Eddie was a man whose laughter and skilled hands brought joy and comfort to all who knew him.

Eddie grew up in a loving family, the son of Edward Joseph O'Brien Sr. and Virginia Mary Andrewzuski. He shared his childhood with his siblings, Paul O'Brien of Brockton, Virginia Phillips and her husband Chris of Brockton, and his late sister Cheryl Casella. Eddie's life was enriched by the love of his wife, Alice O'Brien (Devine), and the extended family he gained through marriage, including his brother and sister-in-laws Bill, Michael, Veronica, Kathleen, Martin, Patrick, Bridget, and his father-in-law William Devine. His many nieces and nephews also held a special place in his heart.

A proud graduate of Holbrook High School, Eddie dedicated over 40 years to his craft as a carpenter. His work was not just a job but a testament to his talent and passion for creating and fixing, leaving a legacy of his craftsmanship in homes and hearts across the community.

Eddie's interests were as genuine and heartfelt as his personality. An avid fisherman and clammer, he found solace and joy in the waters of New England. His love for the local sports teams was matched only by his enthusiasm for Pink Floyd, whose music often served as the backdrop for everyday life.

Described by those who knew him as loving, handy, and funny, Eddie's sense of humor and ability to fix anything made him a beacon of light in the lives of many. His laughter was infectious, his hands were always ready to help, and his heart was ever open to giving love.

As we say goodbye to Edward Joseph "Eddie" O'Brien, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His legacy of love, laughter, and craftsmanship will endure, reminding us all to embrace life with the same zest and kindness that Eddie did every day.
