Robert Kennedy Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartwright Funeral Home - Randolph on Oct. 1, 2025.
Robert Michael Kennedy, of Randolph, affectionately known as Bob to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully at home, after a long illness, on September 20, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on April 2, 1967, in Quincy, Massachusetts, Bob was the cherished son of the late Robert J. and Anne M. (Ricchio) Kennedy. His warm spirit and infectious laughter left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
Bob was a proud graduate of Randolph High School, after which he dedicated many years of his life working as a press operator for a local printing company. His work ethic and commitment to his craft were admired by his colleagues and associates. Beyond his professional achievements, Bob's true joy came from the love and laughter he shared with his family and friends.
A loving father, Bob is survived by his son Ryan Kennedy and daughter-in-law Danielle of Florida, and his daughter Shenna Foss of Massachusetts. He instilled in them the values of kindness, humor, and the importance of family, lessons that they will carry forward. Bob was also a devoted brother to William E. Kennedy and his wife Evelyn of Fall River, and a doting grandfather to Kaylin Harrington. His role as an uncle was one he cherished deeply, leaving fond memories with Julie Ann Kennedy and Michelle C. Kennedy.
Bob's love for life was evident in his passion for Boston sports. He was often found cheering on his favorite teams, sharing in the highs and lows with the same unwavering support he gave to those he loved. His sense of adventure shone through his love for riding motorcycles, with the wind in his hair and a sense of freedom at his fingertips, especially when he rode his beloved Harley Davidson.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Bob will remember him as the kind soul who was beloved by all. The words loving, kind, and funny are mere understatements when it comes to describing a man of such character. His laughter was a melody that could turn any moment into a cherished memory. Bob's legacy will live on not only through his family but also through the countless lives he touched with his generosity and spirit.
Bob's life was a testament to the power of love, the joy of laughter, and the strength of family bonds. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the remarkable man he was. Bob's memory will continue to inspire us, reminding us to embrace life with the same passion and positivity that he did every day.
The void left by Bob's absence will be deeply felt by his family, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his former wife Karen (Pomerleau) Foss. He was a beacon of light and love in the lives of all who knew him, and his memory will be treasured forever.
As we bid farewell to Robert Michael Kennedy, we take solace in knowing that his journey was filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of the relationships he nurtured. He will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit will continue to guide and comfort us in the days to come.
