Elaine Marie "Boly" Ruff

Elaine Marie (Boly) Ruff, of Holbrook, formerly of Randolph, passed away peacefully at the age of 100, on February 25,2026, surrounded by family members.

Beloved wife of the late Charles (Charlie) Ruff. Beloved mother of Carl A. Ruff of Holbrook, Charles A. Ruff of West Roxbury and Richard M. Ruff and his wife Lauren M. Ruff of Duxbury. Dear Grandma of Charles (CJ), Julia, and Maria Ruff.

Sister of the late Adeline G. Reardon, Richard R., Raymond A. and Claire Boly. Sister-in-law to the late Joseph A. Ruff and Margaret Wagner.

Beloved Aunt of Laurel Philips-Hanson, Raymond E. Boly, Christine Haugh, Elaine Sullivan, Michelle Baker and the late Kathleen Sparks.

Beloved Aunt of Bobby Wagner, Susan Wagner, Debbie Witt, Sarah-Joe Ruff, Naomi Ruff Corrine Ruff and the late Janice Ruff.

Also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Elaine was born in Brighton MA, and graduated from Brighton High School, Class of 1943. Elaine started working for Shawmut Bank of Boston immediately after graduating high school. Elaine worked until marrying Charlie Ruff in 1960. Charlie and Elaine started a family and moved to Randolph. Elaine was active in Saint Bernadette's Catholic Church. While raising a family and caring for her husband who was forced to retire due to health, Elaine returned to Shawmut Bank in the 1970's and worked in the real estate department until retirement.

Later in life Elaine enjoyed nothing more than a good laugh with family, friends and whoever was so fortunate to meet her. Elaine's combination of faith, love, sense of humor, determination and compassion enabled her to lead and teach us every day. Elaine had a wonderful life and made everyone around her better for it.

A Memorial Visitation period will be held on Friday, March 6th, from 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM, in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main Street, Randolph, MA 02368.

A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 10:30 AM, in Saint Bernadette Church, 1031 No. Main Street, Randolph, MA 02368.

A Committal Service will take place Immediately following the Mass, at Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West Street, Braintree MA 02184.
