Edward William "Bill" Patnode, III, born on April 5, 1969, in Niskayuna, NY, passed away on September 6, 2025, in Whiteville, NC, at the age of 56.

Throughout his life, Bill was dedicated to his work as a Certified IPC Specialist and Quality Control Specialist. His career allowed him to travel across the country, where he applied his skills in troubleshooting and assisting in the repair of business computers and components. He was known for his commitment and expertise in the field.

Raised in the Lutheran faith, Bill was a graduate of Guilderland High School in Guilderland, NY. Beyond his professional endeavors, he had a passion for boating, which brought him great joy and tranquility. He enjoyed living in Lake George, NY and San Diego, CA.

Bill is survived by his loving mother, Anne Schumacher Patnode, and her husband, Terance Doyle, of Castle Hayne, NC; his father, Edward William Patnode, Jr. and his wife Bobbi Clapsaddle, of New York; his brother, Tucker Patnode (Kate); and his sisters, Heather Patnode (Neil Wold), Ashlee Smith (Brandon), and Kelly Doyle (Brian Poppel). Nieces, Riley and Emma, and nephews, Liam, Sean, and Dylan. He is also remembered fondly by extended family members and many friends.

At this time, no formal services are planned. Bill will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
